The Alcock and Brown print celebrates the 100th anniversary year of the famous and daring Transatlantic flight from Newfoundland to Connemara.

This is one of a series of A5 image size prints created using a watercolour chine colle background, overprinted with the Vickers Vimy image on a photopolymer intaglio plate. As the background of each of the prints in the series is different, the print is a monoprint.

About Original Prints

An original print is a work of art created by hand and printed by hand, either by the artist, from a plate, block, stone, or stencil that has been hand created by the artist for the sole purpose of producing the desired image.
Each of the prints is in a Limited Edition (A print run of a set length that is not exceeded or reprinted).
Each print is signed and numbered by Aidan Flanagan the artist to guarantee its quality, and that the edition is limited to the declared number of prints.
The Limited Edition for each print varies. In general, the larger size prints are in smaller Editions. Details regarding Edition size and number of layers accompanies each print.
By contrast, a reproduction print is a copy of an existing artwork. I do not produce reproduction prints.
