This screenprint of a Co. Mayo landscape was printed in Feb 2010, and consists of 11 layers, and is printed in a Limited Edition of 10 prints. The image size is 30 x30cm.
The view is of Slievemor, on Achill Island on the West Coast of Ireland, as seen from west of the village of Dooagh.
Behind the viewer is Corrymore House, on the slopes of Croaghaun, and onetime home to a Capt. Boycott. Apparently a particularly hated land agent, Boycott moved from Achill to Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, in 1877. It was there that local tenants protested by shunning him, giving rise to the term 'to boycott'
